TERMS OF SERVICE

Deposits and payments made are non-refundable and non-transferable unless Just Capybara is unable to supply a healthy animal prior to pickup. Please ensure you thoroughly research care, diet, housing needs, legal requirements, and other relevant factors before placing a deposit and committing to a purchase. Adding an animal to your home is a significant decision that should not be taken lightly. Orders are fulfilled in the order they are received. While you may note color and sex preferences, they are not guaranteed and do not qualify for a refund. Discussing the possibility of deferring an order to the next litter is allowed but is granted solely at Just Capybara’s discretion.

You have 24 hours to respond to the notification to schedule your pickup. The pickup must occur within 7 days of being notified that the animal is ready. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of any payments made unless specific arrangements have been made and agreed upon in writing by the Seller, and these may be subject to boarding fees. Due to the varying levels of care beyond our control, no guarantees can be made regarding the animals’ health. Stress, changes in diet, and other factors can influence the ongoing health of the animal. The Buyer assumes full responsibility upon pickup. The Buyer certifies that it is their sole responsibility to be aware of and comply with their state, county, city, or subdivision laws, rules, or ordinances. No refund will be provided due to the Buyer’s failure to properly research these statutes. Proof of legality from your state may be required prior to pickup. Just Capybara will accept returned animals but assumes no financial obligation for the pickup or delivery of said animal. If necessary space is unavailable, Just Capybara will assist in finding a suitable home or placement for the animal. The Buyer fully understands that no refunds are given when an animal is returned. No animal shall be placed in a shelter, rescue, or sanctuary, as this places an undue financial burden on such entities and could lead to the euthanization of the animal. The Buyer understands that special permitting is required to sell these animals and shall not attempt to do so unlawfully.

Just Capybara reserves the right to deem an animal “not an appropriate fit.” If an order has been placed, a refund may be granted, or a discussion of a more appropriate animal may be initiated. Should a situation arise that necessitates a refund, every effort will be made to complete this within 30 days. Due to the unpredictability of litters, it may be necessary to move to the next viable litter. This will be discussed if the need arises.

The Buyer further agrees to hold Just Capybara and its entities harmless, agreeing that no negative, derogatory, or defamatory remarks shall be spoken, written, or implied as a result of the purchase of this or any other animal. Just Capybara retains the right to pursue legal recourse for any breach of these terms, credit card disputes, failure to provide adequate veterinary care, etc., which shall be filed in Cocke County, TN, with the Buyer responsible for attorney, court, and any other fees incurred.

SHIPPING POLICY TERMS OF SERVICE

Just Capybara is USDA licensed and can ship to any state where it is legal. Shipping via airlines costs $400 and includes the Delta flight, crate, and the required state veterinary health certificate. Both the animal and shipping costs must be paid in full at least two weeks in advance to allow for flight arrangements, crate purchase, and a vet appointment. Note that there are often temperature restrictions beyond our control. No refunds will be provided for a purchased animal if airlines cannot fly the animal due to such restrictions; it is the buyer’s responsibility to pick up the animal or make alternative transport arrangements. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of any payments made. Pickup is available at the farm by appointment. If a health certificate, permit, or any paperwork is required for you to enter your state with the animal, this must be noted in advance and will be at the buyer’s expense. If you prefer to use a ground shipper, we can refer you to transporters we have worked with before. All agreements are between the buyer and the shipper; Just Capybara will assist as much as possible but is not responsible for these arrangements.

No animal will be released without full payment.
